Unstoppable

     My mom often said to me that she was too old to do many things she wanted to do. She said she was too old to go back to school, she was too old to get a job (and she missed being out in the world). She was too old to learn to ride horses (and she wished she could have ridden with my daughter and I). 

     Women over 50 aren't represented often in ads and films and TV. We aren't seen as beautiful or capable. We are seen as just moms, just Grandmas, just wives and sisters. When in truth, women over 50 are ideal mentors. They are strong, knowledgeable, experienced, wise and empowered.

     What are you doing in your empowered years? Do you still ride? Are you learning to ride? Are you starting a new venture, a new business, going back to school? Are you doing something people wouldn't expect you to do either as a woman or at your age? I know women who joust and run sled dogs. I know women who are awesome Grandmas and are great mentors. I know women who just want to be recognized. 

     Show the world your story through the timelessness of my lens that women over 50 are mentors and are women to be looked up to and a force to be reckoned with.
